STUNNING, FROM EVERY PERFECT ANGLE.

BMW M6 Convertible design.

BMW engineers do not see design as aesthetics, but as a statement. And, with its powerful styling, the BMW M6 Convertible cuts an impressive figure. Its flared wheel arches and other eye-catching details hinting at the immense power waiting to be experienced in the cockpit.

Inside, the feeling of luxury can be refined with exclusive materials from the BMW Individual Collection. Then it’s up to you to share your choices with the rest of the world by silently retracting the soft-top roof in 19 seconds.

STANDARD SPECIFICATION

EXTERIOR DESIGN.

Whether open or closed, with its powerful lines the BMW M6 Convertible is a genuine eye-catcher. With its aerodynamically optimised front apron featuring generous inlets to supply the V8 engine with air, design and performance are perfectly aligned.

Painstaking attention has been paid even to the smallest details. This is evident in the High Gloss Black double slats of the kidney grille, which surround the M emblem, or the striking M gills with integrated turn indicators, which add a touch of style just behind the front wheel arches.

An elegant interplay of form and function is also evident in the rear apron. This encloses the typical M twin tailpipes − as well as the diffuser to create the necessary downforce − in such a way that the perfect line of the BMW M6 Convertible is sustained with the soft top open or closed.

Interior design.

The made-to-measure, expertly conceived interior of the BMW M6 Convertible is testament to the pride that BMW’s engineers take. In the cockpit, the driver is ergonomically enclosed with every control exactly where it is needed so that it’s never been this easy to feel at home in a sports car.

The focus of the M leather steering wheel is the shift paddles of the M double-clutch transmission and the M Drive buttons. M specific instruments display all relevant information even in bright light, ensuring the driver has a constant eye on everything.

Soft top.

The fully automatic soft-top provides outstanding acoustic and thermal insulation. When closed, it lends the convertible a coupé-like silhouette. Opening in just 19 seconds and closing in 24 seconds at speeds of up to 25mph, the soft-top is available in three distinct colours including Anthracite Silver Effect.

With the soft top up, the rear window can be electrically lowered to allow air circulation without drafts, and it can be heated in cold conditions. Passengers can also have an open-air driving experience with all five windows being lowered at the same time while the soft top remains closed.

M exterior mirrors.

The aerodynamically optimised M exterior mirrors have been icons of the sporty, dynamic design of the M line for decades. Attached to the body by a double-bridge designed base, they underscore the beautiful aesthetics of the car and convey a sense of precision engineering, dynamics and aerodynamic detailing.

Wheels.

In addition to standard 19-inch M light alloy wheels in star spoke style 344 M, there are three 20-inch rim variants too: forged double-spoke style 343 M with mixed tyres in either polished or matt black. The latter features five striking spokes, perfectly framing the M compound brakes − tested on the racetrack, with callipers finished in blue and bearing the M logo. The third alternative within the optional Competition Package is the burnished double-spoke style 601 M in bi-colour finish. This option sports seven spokes and accentuates the toughened appearance of the BMW M6 Convertible.
